Intention:

On Sunday, April 1, 2018 (with a little help from my friends) I ran from Jockey’s Ridge State Park on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and followed the Mountain To Sea Trail for over 1,175 miles all the way to Clingman’s Dome at the western end of the state. The name“Throwing Bones” is an homage to my jam band roots, the bones that cancer has punched, and a reminder to throw the dice and go all-in.

The Details:

Throwing Bones for a Cure, Inc.’s mission is to raise funds to encourage and inspire Myeloma patients to Keep Moving Forward before, during and after treatment, and to establish the Throwing Bones Patient Assistance Fund to help patients and their caregivers with non-medical financial needs.
